ABYSS FM8 Sounds – Version 1.1

KS ABYSS FM8 Sounds V1 is a collection of highly original sounds for Native Instruments FM8 synthesizer and Native Instruments KORE 2 Workstation. As you got it from it’s name, FM8 synthesizer is based on frequency modulation synthesis (also known as FM) and it is very good at it. FM has a different approach to synthesis than the classic analog synthesis. Basically an oscillator (operator) is altered or distorted by a modulating signal (other oscillator) resulting in a more complex waveform and radically different-sounding tone. It’s very easy to get crazy sounds out of FM8, but these are very hard to control. ABYSS FM8 Sounds is about controlling sonic madness. Using the MORPH Pad it’s easy to go from a calm beautiful pad to harsh industrial tones or from a cool smooth lead to some monstrous bassline (and back).

These sounds are awesome mate! They are so what I have been looking for for the past few years – “liquid lead”, “no horizon”, “soundscapes” … sounds that really are inspiring to me.
Thanks for your hard work – I’m officially a Kreativ Sounds fan! Peace and Grace!

Hi!
Just purchased this stuff, but where do i place the different folders? sorry if this is a stupid question but i really don’t know!

Hi Oscar,
You can place the folders wherever you want, just open FM8 and go to Browser tab from left and from there you can navigate where the sounds are. You can also open files by using the File->Open menu
I hope that helps

Hi again,
To browse your new KORE sounds follow these steps:
1. Open KORE, go to File Menu -> Options -> Database Options tab.
2. Any content you generate yourself by using KORE 2 will be saved in sub-folders of the Native Instruments Shared Content folder. Here you can define additional folders on your file system to be monitored by KORE 2. By clicking Add you open a dialog window for navigating to the folder on your file system, which you want to add to the list of monitored folders.
3. Now press on Scan User Folder. Now you’ll be able to see the new sounds into your browser presets section.
I hope that helps
